Creative Story Writing With AI for Primary Schools

    I teach English at a primary school and love reading English stories to my children, I love to find the video or cartoon versions of the books we love online. So I brought one of my favourite books to class on that day which is suitable for my third grades, "The Magic School Bus". The book I got was on recycling, which was also my etwinning project theme ("Eco-Digital Guardians") with the students this year. 

    Students checked the pages together first, and I pointed out the important aspects mentioned in the story. Then we watched the cartoon version of the series on global warming, students loved to see the characters in the book talk and act in their own special ways reflecting their identity each.

    While watching a segment of the video I asked questions on the crucial points and the main vocabulary.,

    Finally it was our turn to choose the characters,  setting and date for our own story. Students decided on the physical and personal aspects of the characters together. Giving the date, the plot, the characters' personality we asked chtagpt to make our story for us by giving the right prompts. We also asked Chatgpt to prepare pictures for our characters. 

    With this activity we managed to raise ecological awareness through use of AI and combined it with our English knowledge of physical appearance, abilities and feelingsvocabulary.
